1:11 Inc & 5 o'clock Media unveil the new LRF logo

Both firms working on creating a visual identity for the Lagos Retail festival did an unveiling  of the logo at their Lagos office today.

The duo of Mr. Tito Amuzuo and Mr.Kehinde Iluyomade representing 1:11 Inc and 5 o'clock media respectively together did the unveiling. Mr. Tito explained that the bag and its size was an obvious choice  to signify the various purchase options that will be available to attendees, as well as the family friendliness nature of the festival.

The colorful 5 strikes represent the 5 fingers pulling the bag up as well as the diversity of cultures and races within Lagos state, which makes Lagos a pace setter cosmopolitan city for many African states.

Mr. Iluyomade described the logo as one of the most exciting projects his firm had ever worked on and looked forward to translating this logo onto various design options the project may require in terms of merchandising and other brand assets that the retail festival will engage. He said , there were several criticisms for his design choice, but he was glad that this captured the intent of the organizers of the festival.

The festival director Mr. Dapo Simon Ajeniya rounded up the meeting  saying he was indeed pleased the design was on schedule and particularly aligned with their vision of a global retail festival borne out of Lagos.

France breaks Belgian hearts at Saint Peterburg

Saint Petersburg's stadium  witnessed one of the most keenly contested matches in the world cup, as France stops Belgium's run towards the world cup final. The Belgian team did a good job of holding onto to the ball, but it was the quick pace of the French team which saw Mbappe, Pogba, Oliver Giroud, Tolisso that put much pressure on Thibaut Courtois on every counter attack. The Belgian team had more than 60% ball possession, but the 51st minute header that resulted in the lone goal of the match from Samuel Umtiti was to be the heart wrenching arrow to Belgian hopes of an appearance in the world cup finals. The Belgians lose with the heads held high and will paly the loser of the England -Croatia match in the 3 rd place match. .........................................
